Check photo GPS and camera metadata before sharing
EXIF Viewer & Remover helps inspect camera model, capture time, GPS location, and other readable photo metadata before uploading or sharing images. Processing stays in the browser, and the cleaned download is re-saved through canvas without the original EXIF block.
Useful For
- Check photos before marketplace or social uploads
- Inspect camera and timestamp metadata
- Download a privacy-clean image copy
Good To Know
The viewer focuses on browser-readable JPEG EXIF. Some PNG/WebP metadata chunks may not be displayed.
File Handling Notes
File tasks are browser-first when practical. Large files, encrypted documents, and formats that need server conversion can be limited by browser memory and server support.
Private File Handling
Jabdogu processes supported file tasks in the browser first and uploads only when server conversion is required. This note was reviewed on Jul 3, 2026.
Photo metadata checks
Before processing
- Check whether location and capture time should be shared
- Keep the original photo before creating a cleaned copy
Metadata
- Review camera model, GPS, capture date, and editor fields
- Check whether social apps already stripped metadata
Before sharing
- Open the cleaned copy again to confirm EXIF is removed
- Also review visible faces, places, and private details in the image itself
If readable EXIF contains GPS fields, the tool can display location-related metadata.
The image is re-saved through canvas so the original EXIF block is not included in the downloaded copy.
It focuses on metadata that can be handled in the browser. Special formats or chunks may require separate verification.
